Screening_Plagiarism

JRKBI: Jurnal Riset Kecerdasan Buatan dan Informatika is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of every manuscript submitted for publication. All submitted manuscripts may undergo plagiarism and similarity screening as part of the editorial assessment before entering the peer-review process and, when necessary, prior to final publication.

The screening process uses appropriate similarity-detection software to identify similarities between submitted manuscripts and previously published scholarly works, academic documents, and publicly available sources. The similarity report serves as an editorial tool to identify potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate text reuse, or insufficient acknowledgment of sources.

A similarity score does not automatically indicate plagiarism. The Editorial Board evaluates the similarity report by considering the source, context, location, extent, and nature of the identified similarities. Properly cited quotations, commonly used technical terminology, references, methodological expressions, and other legitimate similarities may be treated differently from substantial unattributed reproduction of text.

If significant or inappropriate similarities are identified, the Editorial Board may request clarification or revision from the authors, return the manuscript for correction, reject the manuscript, or take further action in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy. In cases involving suspected serious publication misconduct, JRKBI may follow relevant ethical guidelines and procedures for handling allegations of research and publication misconduct.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submitted manuscripts represent original scholarly work and that all ideas, statements, data, quotations, and materials derived from other sources are properly acknowledged and cited. Through this screening policy, JRKBI seeks to uphold originality, transparency, academic integrity, and the quality of scholarly communication.
